Bala Barathi Matric. Higher Sec. School, Salem

About The School

Bharathi Vidyalaya Sangam, a pioneering banyan tree in the field of education sprouted from a small inception in 1946 and began to spread its branches in 1982. Nevertheless, the first branch took deep roots on 23-6-1982. The ceaseless and synergetic efforts of the late Shri M.S. Krishnamoorthy, and late Dr. K. Jayaramachandran, M.B., B.S., resulted in Bala Barathi Matriculation School adjacent to the main building, in the campus of Bharathi Vidyalaya.

During the reins of administration were taken over by Late Shri M.S. Narayanan, B.A., B.L., Advocate and Shri S. Doraiswamy, M.A., Auditor, the school was transferred to the present location as a precious gift from the Government of Tamil Nādu for which we would remain ever grateful. The present edifice was built over a period of 3 decades brick by brick tirelessly and it has now attained a reputed accreditation for itself as a synagogue of education. More than 2500 children got educated here further added to the glory of this great institute. The principals Madam Prema Prakasam and Madam Prabhavathi both had exemplary academic carriers and high spirits in serving the student community. Like another feather on their caps, they brought laurels to the school by endearing the “Nallasiriyar Virudhu”.

Educating children from kinder garden to higher secondary in a soulful manner serves to be the secret of the successful journey; the results resound the procurement of our wards who are nurtured with parental care in a disciplined way. Extracurricular activities and sports have been a part of the regular curriculum to strengthen the young minds not only mentally but also physically. When children complete their school education in our institution, they hold their heads high and proclaim that they are good citizens of society.

As the saying of Swamy Vivekananda goes, ‘Every duty is holy and devotion to duty is the highest form of worship of God’, we are striving our best to serve the student community with inevitable zeal and unquenched thirst.
